Trans-American Security Service, Inc., Burnsville, MN today announced the addition of Steve Champeau to the management team. Steve brings over twenty years of experience in the industry, a successful track record of growth and is pursuing his dream to work for a local, commercial security provider.

At the end of the month, and coinciding with deer hunting season, Terry Mullett and Dave Smith plan to retire. Each has elected to take this opportunity to spend more time with their families and pursue outside interests. “We look forward to supporting Trans-Alarm from the cheering section and seeing the business continue to flourish and grow,” commented Terry Mullett.

The Company, its employees and shareholders wish to thank Dave and Terry for their many years of service. In 1966, Lee Smith, father of founders Dave and Rick Smith, developed a simple and effective system to transmit alarm signals directly to the police. Steve Champeau was most recently President, Checkpoint North America. He was previously Vice President and General Manager of Checkpoint's Security Systems Group (SSG), which was formed when Checkpoint acquired Alarmex in 1995.

Arctic Capital LLC is a private equity firm based in Wayzata, Minnesota and owner of Trans-American Security Services LLC. The firm has spent many years working in the security monitoring industry. J.C. Kiser serves as Trans-American’s Chairman and oversees the finance function.

Trans-Alarm provides security and fire alarm systems, alarm monitoring, closed circuit television, digital video recording, card access, door control and other related services to commercial and industrial accounts throughout the region.
